Oxandrolone (Anavar): anabolic steroid

Oxandrolone or oxandro was created by the American laboratory Searle, which has since become a subsidiary of Pfizer, under the name AnavarIn 1964. It was prescribed by doctors to accelerate tissue regeneration in the treatment of diseases such as osteoporosis, alcohol-induced hepatitis, blood anemia, angioedema and weight loss caused by the AIDS virus.

Anavar, composed of oxandrolone, is also recommended to combat catabolism caused by oral cortisone administration.
